Apprentice Development Officer (ADO) of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). For applicants in the Open Market Category, there will be two stages to the online exam: the preliminary exam and the main exam. The exam syllabus is shown below.

The LIC Agents and Employee Category will choose the Apprentice Development Officers through a single examination process called the Main Examination. It is going to be an online test with 160 marks that is objective. The composite duration of the objective test will be two hours, or 120 minutes.

For LIC Agents Category :

1.Reasoning Ability & Numerical Ability

2.General Knowledge, Current Affairs and English Language with Special Emphasis on Grammar and vocabulary

3.Elements of Insurance and Marketing of Insurance.

For LIC Employee Category :

1.Reasoning Ability & Numerical Ability

2.General Knowledge, Current Affairs and English Language with Special Emphasis on Grammar and vocabulary

3.Practice and Principle of Insurance, Marketing

Only the scores from the primary exam will be taken into account for creating the interview shortlist. The final merit listing of the candidates will take into account the scores from both the main exam and the interview.

I. In order to limit the number of candidates who are invited for interviews, LIC of India has the right to set the eligibility requirements and the minimum score required to qualify in the interview in proportion to the number of openings. The interview carries a maximum score of 40 points.

II. If two or more candidates have similar marks, the group’s merit order will be determined by adding up the points from both the main exam and the interview, as well as by the candidates’ post-graduation qualifications (i.e., the candidate with the highest post-graduation qualification will be ranked higher in the merit order). If there is even more similarity in the educational qualification, the group’s merit order will be determined by Age will be used to determine the merit order; the older the person, the higher their rank in the order of merit.

III. Candidates who are not deemed successful in the primary exam will not be placed on a waiting list or contingency list.
