State Selection Board, Odisha Police Cuttack has announced the increase in vacancies for Constable or Sepoy posts in India Reserve Battalion or Odisha Special Armed Police. A total of 720 vacancies are increased in various Battalion and now the total number of vacancies is 2080. The category-wise vacancy details have been tabulated below in the table

OSAP IRB Constable Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria :-

Before submitting application forms for Odisha Police Recruitment 2024 candidates must ensure that they fulfill the required eligibility for Sepoys/ Constables posts in terms of educational qualification and age limit.

Note: Women, Transgender, and Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates are not eligible to apply online for the Odisha Police Constable Vacancy 2024.

Nationality
The candidates must be unmarried male/female and should be:

Citizen of India, or
Subject of Bhutan, or
Subject of Nepal, or
Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st of January 1962 to permanently settle in India, or
a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and the East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia or Vietnam to permanently settle in India
Educational Qualification
The candidates must have passed the High School Certificate Examination (Matriculation / 10th Class Pass) conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, or an equivalent examination to apply for Odisha Police Constable Recruitment 2024.

Odisha Police Recruitment 2024 Selection Process :-

The selection process for  Sepoys/ Constables in OSAP IRB is based on candidates’ performance in Written Examinations, Physical Tests, Driving Tests, and Medical Examinations. The final selection list will be prepared in decreasing order of aggregate marks secured by them in written examinations, driving tests, and NCC equal to the number of vacancies advertised. 02 bonus marks will be awarded to the candidates for possessing one or more NCC certificates like: ‘A’ or ‘B’ or ‘C’. These marks shall be awarded after due verification of original certificates.

Measurement of Physical Standards and Physical Efficiency Test – Qualifying
Driving Test (Optional (a) For heavy motor vehicles – 05 marks
