Tier I: Qualifying in nature

• Candidates who have applied for the SSC CGL exam will receive roll numbers and admit cards for the Computer-Based Examination (Tier-I).
• The Tier-I exam serves as a qualifying round.
• Based on the Tier-I exam results, candidates will be shortlisted for Tier-II examination.

Tier II:

• Paper I is Compulsory for all posts.
• Paper II is required for applicants targeting Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) positions in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.
• Paper III is relevant for candidates aspiring to be Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer.
• Paper II (JSO), Paper III (Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer), and Paper I (all other jobs) will have distinct cut-off scores.
• Tier-II exams are conducted for all candidates who pass Tier I.
• All Tier-II candidates will need to take Papers I, II, and III. Only Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) and Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer shortlisted candidates need to appear for Papers II and III.
