SSC Junior Hindi Translator Syllabus

SSC Junior Hindi Translator Eligibility:Junior Hindi Translators (in Subordinate Offices) and Hindi Pradhyapak (Central Hindi Training Institute) Exams are administered by the Staff Selection Commission. Those who would like to apply for this test must fulfill the requirements listed below.

SSC Junior Hindi Translator Eligibility:

• A.Nationality/Citizenship: A candidate must be either:
• (a) a citizen of India, or
• (b) a subject of Nepal, or
• (c) a subject of Bhutan, or
• d) an Indian national who moved to India with the goal of residing there permanently from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam.

As long as the candidate falls under one of the aforementioned categories (b), (c), (d), or (e), and is the recipient of an eligibility certificate from the Indian government.

B. Age Limit: Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 30 as of August 1, 2023, meaning that those born between August 2, 1993, and August 1, 2005, are eligible to apply.

C. Educational Qualifications:
For Junior Translators (CSOLs):
Essential:

(I) (a) A master’s degree in Hindi from an accredited university with English as a required or elective subject or as the language of instruction for degree-level exams; OR

(b) A master’s degree in English from an accredited university with Hindi as a required or electivesubject or as the mode of instruction for degree-level exams;OR

(c) A master’s degree from an accredited university in a topic other than Hindi or English, with Hindi as the primary language of instruction and English either required or elective, or used as the medium of examination for a degree;instead

(d) A master’s degree from an accredited university in any field other than English or Hindi, together with Hindi as the language of instruction and English as a required or elective subject assessment at the doctoral level; or

(e) A Master’s degree from an accredited university in any topic other than Hindi or English, with one language serving as an exam medium and the other as either required or elective at the degree level, or both languages serving as mandatory or elective courses.

and

(f) Accredited diploma or certificate program in Hindi to English and vice versa translation two years of expertise translating from Hindi to English and the other way around in Government Office at the Federal or State Level, including the Government of India Undertaking

(II) (a) A Master’s degree in Hindi from an accredited university with English as a required or elective course or as the examination language at the degree level; or

(b) A master’s degree in English with Hindi as an elective or required from an accredited university subject or as the method of instruction for degree-level exams; or

(c) A master’s degree from an accredited university in a topic other than Hindi or English, with Hindi as the primary language of instruction and English either required or optional; or

(d) A master’s degree from an accredited university in any field other than English or Hindi, together with Hindi as the language of instruction and English as a required or elective subjectassessment at the doctoral level; or

(e) A Master’s degree from an accredited university in any topic other than Hindi or English, with one language serving as an exam medium and the other as either required or elective at the degree level, or both languages serving as mandatory or elective courses.

and

(f) Accredited diploma or certificate program in Hindi to English and vice versa translation alternatively, three years of expertise translating from Hindi into English and the other way around in Government Office, either Central or State, including Government of India Undertaking.

Note-I: In accordance with a Ministry of Human Resource Development notification dated June 10, 2015, published in the Indian Gazette, all degrees, diplomas, and certificates awarded by universities established by state legislatures or by acts of parliament through the open and distance learning modes of education, as well as institutions deemed to be universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 and institutions of national importance declared under an act of parliament, are automatically recognized for employment purposes toward positions and services under the Central Government, so long as they have been approved by the University Grants Commission’s Distance Education Bureau. However, these degrees should be acknowledged for the time frame in which the candidate obtained the aforementioned qualification.

Note-II: The University Grants Commission (UGC) (Open and Distance Learning) Regulations, 2017 permit no programs in engineering, medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, architecture, physiotherapy, and other fields to be offered through the Open and Distance Learning mode. These regulations were published in the official Gazette on June 23, 2017, under Part-III (8) (v). The B.Tech. degree or diploma in engineering awarded by Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) to students who were enrolled up until the academic year 2009–10 shall be treated as valid, wherever applicable, in accordance with the Hon. Supreme Court Order dated 11–03–2019 in MA No. 3092/2018 in W.P. (C) No. 382/2018 titled Mukul Kumar Sharma & others Vs. AICTE and others.

The User Department/Organization will call for the verification of documents from all selected candidates. These candidates must bring the necessary documents, such as their original mark sheets for all Master’s degree years, Degree Level, Diploma in Translation from Hindi to English and vice versa, Experience certificate of Translation work, Provisional Certificate, etc., as proof of having completed the required coursework by the deadline. If they fail to do so, the User Department/Organization will cancel their candidature. Candidates will also be considered to meet the needed educational qualification if they can demonstrate through documentary evidence that the results of the examination for the essential educational qualification were announced on or before the deadline and that they have been declared passed. It’s said again that by the deadline, the Board, Institute, or University must have announced the results of the necessary educational qualifications. The EQ requirement is not satisfied by the Board, Institute, or University processing the results by the deadline alone.
