UPSC CDS (II) Recruitment 2024:

UPSC CDS (II) Recruitment 2024-Age Limit:
- IMA & Indian Naval Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 02nd July, 2001 and not later than 1st July, 2006 only are eligible.
- Air Force Academy: 20 to 24 Years as on 1st July, 2025 i.e. born not earlier than 2nd July, 2001 and not later than 1st July, 2005
- Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.

UPSC CDS (II) Recruitment 2024-Selection Process:
- Written Exam: To be eligible, candidates must pass the CDS written exam. This test consists of multiple-choice questions that assess candidates’ understanding of English, general knowledge, and elementary mathematics, among other disciplines. Every Academy has a different written test.
- Interview/Personality Test: Shortlisted candidates for the Services Selection Board’s (SSB) interview/personality test are those who pass the written exam. This phase assesses a candidate’s leadership abilities, officer-like traits, and fitness for a career in the armed forces. Personal interviews, group conversations, and a variety of exercises are all part of the interview/personality test.
- Verification of Documents: Original copies of all required documentation, such as diplomas of education and proof of age, must be submitted by the shortlisted candidates for verification.
- Medical Examination: After passing the personality test and interview, candidates are subjected to a comprehensive medical examination by a military hospital to determine their level of health. Candidates who pass the medical examination are guaranteed to meet the physical and medical requirements for military service.
- ultimate Merit List: The candidate’s performance in the written exam, personality test, and medical assessment will determine their ultimate selection. Candidates are given seats in the various academies according to their ranks and preferences once a merit list has been created.
